The pathway to international education has experienced many ups and downs since the pandemic. The competition in the application for foreign institutions, especially top-notch universities, has been unprecedentedly ferocious. After several years of preparation in international courses and strict selection, MIS students in Year 13 have recently received a lot of good news for their further studies.

Firstly, Noah recently received an invitation to an interview from Oxford University; the major he applied for, mathematics and philosophy, is one of the most difficult majors.

Two of our students, Betty and Henry, have been shortlisted for admission interviews for the Chemistry and Mechanical Engineering programs by the Imperial College London.  Y13 head girl Anesidora received the offer from the University of Melbourne.

In addition, the University of Hong Kong, ranked 21st in QS World Rankings, invited our student Eric to have an online interview in mid-December.

Daniel also received an interview invitation from Princeton University, which ranks first in the United States. Princeton University is one of the top 8 Ivy League universities in the United States, and it is also ranked first in the undergraduate rankings of American universities all the year round.

Introduction to UGC 

Besides offering students a British curriculum, MIS has also set up a University Guidance Counselling enter for senior students with the goal of assisting them with university application planning, enrichment planning (competitions and enhancement activities), major exploration and subject recommendation, reference, individual counselling session etc. 

Students often start the journey for university applications in Year 13. Prior to this, each student who is about to apply will receive individualized admission counseling that covers the admission process, major and school selection, competition and background enhancement arrangements, and PS preparation etc. In order to ensure that all applications and relevant materials are submitted on time, a busy application submission stage will be in place when the application season arrives. Additionally, it's important to keep track of the university's application status in a timely manner and to adequately prepare for each school's admission tests and interviews. Meanwhile, we are here to pay close attention to the offers, actively encourage the planning of students' academic and linguistic activities, and guide and help students to finally successfully enter the university. 

Up to now, our students have received offers from the University of Bristol (QS World Ranking 61), the University of Warwick (QS World Ranking 64), the University of Southampton (QS World Ranking 78), the University of Nottingham (QS World Ranking 114) etc. Some students' applications are still in progress and we are looking forward to more good news.  

自疫情以来，国际教育以及升学路径也经历了许多了坎坷转折，总体而言，国外院校，尤其是顶尖院校的竞争史无前例的激烈。经历过几年的国际课程的装备，功夫不负有心人，13年级的MIS学子们，面对层层选拨，最近也迎来了许多升学的好消息。

首先是我校Noah同学近期收到了牛津大学的面试邀请，并且申请的是竞争最为激烈的数学与哲学专业。

作为QS全球排名第6，“G5超级精英大学”之一的帝国理工学院，也纷纷向我校学子抛来橄榄枝，我校Betty和Henry两名学子，经过帝国理工学院的层层选拨，成功获得了化学和机械工程专业的面试邀请。 我校13年级的女生代表Anesidora收到了墨尔本大学的offer。

此外， QS全球排名第21的香港大学，也邀请我校的Eric同学在12月中旬进行线上面试。此外， Daniel同学也收到了全美排名第一的普林斯顿大学的面试邀请，普林斯顿大学是美国最顶尖的8所常春藤大学之一，也是常年在美国大学本科排名里面排名第一的大学。在过去的两年多时间里，这四名同学在学术和课外背景活动提升上，都有充足的预备，相信在老师们的面试辅导培训之后，一定会在面试中取得优异的表现。

UGC部门介绍 

曼校除了为学生提供纯正的英式教育，同样还为高年级学生成立了升学指导中心，旨在帮助高年级的学生制定升学计划、背景提升规划(竞赛、活动等)、专业探索及选课答疑、UCAS申请系统指导及递交、推荐信和个人咨询面谈等。 

一般在13年级的时候，学生们开始申请大学。在此之前，升学指导会对每一个即将申请的学生进行一对一的升学指导，其中包括，制定升学流程、挖掘确定意向专业和学校、背景提升安排、文书材料准备等。申请季来临之时，会进入忙碌的申请递交阶段，确保在每一个时间节点前递交所有的申请以及相关的材料。以及需要及时跟进大学的申请进度，为个别学校的笔试和面试做好充足准备。同时，关注学校的offer发放，积极推进学生的学术与语言活动安排，指导帮助学生可以最终成功入读大学。 

截至目前，我校学子也收到来自英国布里斯托大学（QS全球排名61）、华威大学（QS全球排名64）、南安普顿大学（QS全球排名78）、诺丁汉大学（QS全球排名114）等国际顶尖院校的offer。
