As Christmas week has approached, Merchiston International School (MIS) has well planned a series of activities to make the holiday more lively.  Some of them are included: the Clan Christmas, the Tree Decoration Relay Race, the Juniors Christmas Movie, the Christmassy Lunch, and the Christmas Concert. The traditional Christmas lighting ceremony was held on Monday morning. It is an ancient tradition in the UK, which is held annually in December throughout the country. At the Christmas lighting ceremony, people get together sing Christmas carols, and enjoy the festive atmosphere. After a speech by the principal, Marion, the switch was turned on as the countdown of ten seconds ended. The Christmas lights at Merchiston International School (MIS) were lit up with the snowflakes falling slowly. The choir children carefully prepared carols, and their songs brought MIS a warm atmosphere.

Let's sing a song together for the Christmas lights of MIS and feel the charm of Christmas. Hope this wonderful moment can bring endless joy and laughter to every student, and let's have a wonderful time together at Christmas.

The Juniors hosted an unforgettable Christmas performances on Wednesday morning. Under the careful preparation of the teachers, the children put on winter jumpers and performed many Christmas-related programs.

The children entertained the audience with their performances, and everyone cheered for them. The MIS Christmas Show not only display the talent of the students, but also their love for Christmas. Thanks to all the teachers and students for their hard work, making MIS full of Christmas atmosphere. Winter is coming, let us spend a wonderful Christmas.

The "Christmas Art Postcard" activity give students the opportunity to hand-paint postcards with oil pastels to express their best wishes.

Hand-painted postcards originated from the 19th century as a way to communicate andhand-painted postcards has always been an important way for people to express their emotions and wishes.

During the activity, students participated enthusiastically. They create a variety of beautiful patterns and words on their postcards using oil pastels, which showed off their artistic talents.

Merchiston International School has always been committed to organizing such beneficial and fun activities and aims to provide students with the opportunity to show their artistic abilities, which reflect the school's concern for their growth. Through these activities, students can not only unleash their creativity but also can share a good mood with their classmates.

Christmas jumper day at Merchiston International School (MIS) is an exciting day for students to wear the most beautiful Christmas sweater and participate in competitions.

The first round of activity is the Tree Decoration Relay Race. Each clan sends seven or eight members to take turns decorating the tree, which was scored by  four judges.

The second activity is the Clan Ugly Jumper Competition. It has a long-standing tradition in UK originally invented to increase team cohesion. More than twenty contestants took part in this year's competition, each showing off their personality with a walk.

The final activity is the Clan Christmas Karaoke. The students showed their singing talents and made the whole school filled with the atmosphere of Christmas.

At noon, the chef of MIS prepared a big Christmas lunch for the students. Roasted Turkey with blackberries, cheese and strawberries is mouth-watering. This lunch is not only delicious, but also nutritious, so that the students get healthy growth.

The event culminated in an afternoon Christmas concert. The students of MIS have high musical accomplishments and are good at various instruments. Under the leadership of the music team, the choir performed well and impressively.

The principal Marion said excitedly with tears in her eyes that she was proud of these hard-working students and thanked all the staff for their support in making this Christmas week's activities go smoothly.

《Christmas Art Postcard 绘见美好 手绘明信片》活动让学生们有机会用油画棒手绘明信片，表达他们对圣诞节的祝福。

手绘明信片起源于19世纪，当时人们用它来互相交流和传递祝福。自那以后，手绘明信片一直是人们交流情感和表达祝福的重要方式。

活动期间，学生们非常踊跃地参与，他们用油画棒在明信片上绘制了各种精美的图案和文字。活动期间，他们玩的不亦乐乎，充分展现出了他们的艺术天赋。

最后一轮活动是圣诞歌曲比赛。曼校学子们尽情展现了他们的歌唱天赋，唱响曼校，让整个学校都充满了圣诞节的氛围。

中午，曼校的厨师为同学们准备了一顿丰盛的圣诞午餐。烤制的火鸡搭配黑莓，芝士和草莓，让人垂涎欲滴。这顿午餐不仅美味，而且营养丰富，让学生们得到了健康的成长。

下午的圣诞音乐会让这次活动达到了高潮。曼校学子们音乐素养非常高，擅长各种乐器。在曼校音乐团队的带领下，唱诗班表现出色，让人印象深刻。
