As the Head of Juniors at MIS, I was thrilled to welcome our students and families back to both our campuses for the start of another incredible academic year. The first day of school is always one of the most exciting days on the calendar. It marks a new chapter in our students' educational journey, filled with new opportunities for growth, learning, and connection.

Walking through the gates in the morning, we were reminded of the unique energy that surrounds the first day. There’s something magical about seeing our young learners, some of whom are returning with a sense of familiarity, while others are joining us for the very first time. There’s an electric combination of excitement, anticipation, and a touch of nervousness in the air. Our entire staff had been eagerly preparing for this day, and we are committed to ensuring every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired from the moment they step into the classroom.

The excitement of the first day extends far beyond the classroom. Our campuses was alive with the vibrant sounds of laughter, conversation, and even a few joyful reunions as friends reconnected after the summer break. It is moments like these that remind us of the importance of community in education. At MIS Longhua and QianHai, we place a strong emphasis on building a nurturing, inclusive environment where each child feels they belong. The friendships formed here, whether among new students or those who have been with us for years, are an integral part of our students’ overall development and well-being.

As we begin this new academic year, we are particularly excited about the enhancements we have made to our Junior school curriculum on both campuses. In QianHai, the introduction of Science as a stand-alone subject, the transition to the Chinese language Hong Kong curriculum, and opportunities for students to do Yoga, will allow pupils to further develop their skills and talents.

At MIS we are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our learners in an ever-changing world. Our goal is to develop confident, curious, and resilient young people who are not only academically capable but also emotionally intelligent and internationally minded.
