Christmas Winter Market

On 1 December, Merchiston International School celebrated the start of the Christmas holidays by holding a jolly, family-friendly Christmas Winter Market at the campus.

It was truly an amazing evening at MIS and it showcased all that MIS does. There were stalls organised completely by students, selling their own handmade products. The staff also helped in a variety of different ways, selling the students’ produce, making popcorn, making candyfloss and entertaining with the staff band – the Merchis-Tones. A substantial amount of money was also raised for charity via the school’s Outreach scheme.

The Junior and Senior Choirs’ singing was tremendous. Lucas, from year 7, sang 'Once In Royal David’s City' which was a very special moment. The smiles on the faces of the Junior Choir as they entertained the crowd was infectious. There was even a visit from Santa Claus.
