It has been be a long hot summer. This year as we stayed in the city unbale to travel, most parents are keen to return their children back into the hands of school. Children and parents whilst have enjoyed the break are looking forward to that familiar routine that comes with school. We now begin to prepare for that exciting start of the new academic year.
New classes，new friends，new teachers，lots of new things… parents and children are naturally often anxious about these new changes. At MIS we believe that preparation is key in order to make that new school year start as smooth as possible.

First Day, turn up smart and looking your best in full school uniform:
For our parents who have not prepared uniform already，please take the time to make an appointment and come and visit our uniform shop where you are able to purchase all the required uniforms。Our uniform shop is open Monday to Friday 09:00 - 16:00。Our helpful staff will ensure you have everything you need and take your photo for your student departure card.
Students are always required to wear black leather school shoes – these can’t be purchased from the uniform shop, so please ensure you source these in advance. Again our school staff will advise you on the requirements.
All school uniforms are required to be clearly labelled on the inside of their clothing. You can purchase the uniform labels at school.
Our most senior students in Years 12-13 are required to wear full business attire whilst studying at MIS, these can't be purchased from the school. Please ensure you prepare the necessary suits, shoes etc in advance so that your child comes to school feeling smart and ready to start their A Levels.

Boarding – what to pack
All boarding students parents will have received the packing list. The list can be printed and you can tick off everything that you need to pack. The school provides all the bedding and all the things that they need with regards to furniture in their room. In summary you will need:
Clearly labeled uniform
Casual clothes
An alarm clock
A pencil case & stationery (no art knives)
If your child is not a boarding student, parents have the option to use our friendly bus service or parents can deliver and pick up their child themselves. If you require the bus service, please ensure you let us know as soon as possible in order that we can facilitate your needs, keeping with the local government requirements.
In Year 3 and above students require a laptop if they are new students to MIS. The school uses Microsoft Surface Pros and you will have received the exact specifications. Our experienced IT Department will ensure that the computers are safe, regulated and have all the programmes needed to access the curriculum.
As we enter our fourth academic year at MIS we are really looking forward to this new year, new term. As our family has grown over the years MIS really knows the value of parent communication, therefore all members are our Admissions Team are available to answer any questions no matter how small or big.
