Uthmaan was born in London .He holds a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Birmingham and briefly worked in academia as a published scientist in the fields of analytical chemistry and organic geochemistry.

Driven by a profound passion for teaching science, Uthmaan completed a postgraduate diploma in secondary science education and trained in two schools in the West Midlands before spending 3 years at a large multi-academy trust in Birmingham, UK.

As an educator with a devotion to life-long learning, Uthmaan is focused on promoting a holistic appreciation for the world through a scientific lens. He diligently guides his students towards academic excellence whilst cultivating values of collaboration, critical thinking, and self-reflection.

Uthmaan is fluent in French and Arabic and has a keen interest in linguistics and learning languages. Having had the privilege of travelling 16 different countries, Uthmaan has developed a profound appreciation for diverse cultures and a commitment to promoting mutual understanding and an exchange of ideas.

When not teaching, Uthmaan enjoys reading, practicing martial arts, and spending time with his family.
