Monika has been a professional educator for more than 20 years. Her international experience includes IGCSE Science teaching and evaluating as well as A level Biology teaching and IB Biology teaching. Not only is she an experienced teacher but also a supportive colleague. She loves her subjects and looks to inspire that passion within her students, supporting the school in making sure that all students reach their potential, not just in science but also through effective pastoral care.
Her international career includes interesting places as Tokyo Japan, Tanzania, China, where she got a lot of experience. Monika has Master’s degree in Biology and in Chemistry. Her education comes from Comenius University, Faculty of Natural Sciences Bratislava Slovakia, which is her home country.
Monika’s teaching style is based on positive motivation and individual support for students, which make them better learners. She focuses also on their self-reflection as well as immediate feedback. She supports the theory that students should have the right balance between school life and free time activities and hobbies.
Monika also participated in extra-curricular activities. She was the leader of Horticulture club at International School in Tokyo, where they built a greenhouse and students learned how to plant their own food. Beautiful experience was also leading students in Jane Godal’s club in Tanzania where students made beautiful and meaningful projects related to nature conservation.
In her free time, Monika enjoys swimming, cycling and reading books. She loves all geners of music and loves to have plants and animals around her.
