Born and raised in England, Elizabeth completed her primary and secondary education in Bath, England before completing a degree in Equine studies in Essex and her Dietetics degree at Coventry university. After working for the UK NHS for a number of years in a patient-facing capacity, Elizabeth completed her PGCE Primary qualification through Warwick University. Elizabeth also completed her Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification through Cambridge TEFL.
After completing her PGCE, Elizabeth worked as an English language teacher in China fulfilling a desire to teach English as a second language, working with EAL students, developing the infinite possibilities for language and knowledge acquisition, especially overcoming barriers to learning. Having lived and taught in China for 18 months, working within a different culture and country has greatly enhanced Elizabeth's teaching skills and ability to adapt and teach.
In England, Elizabeth has been fortunate to work in different year groups teaching from year 1 to year 6 in both the Midlands and Surrey. Elizabeth has also taught in an international school in Year 5 in South Korea to an international group of students, planning and delivering an international curriculum, based on the English curriculum. Adapting the curriculum for international students is both fun and rewarding for Elizabeth and the students.
Elizabeth regularly completes continuous professional development by undertaking courses and training relevant to her teaching roles to ensure she has the most up to date information for the benefit of her students. Elizabeth has recently completed the L1 and L2 International Primary Curriculum courses.
When Elizabeth is not working, she enjoys exploring new places and going on long walks with her family.
