Vanessa went to school in Australia and then went on to study Fashion in London at Middlesex University. After graduating she worked in fashion in a variety of roles from organising events at London fashion week to working for Viktor & Rolf making couture gowns to be shown at Paris Fashion Week.

She had the opportunity to run some short courses and fell in love with teaching. She then went on to study teaching at the prestigious University College London where she received a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and went to work at one of the oldest schools in London, Grey Coat Hospital, where she taught the Prime Minister's daughter.

After teaching in London, she moved to China where she taught Art for a number of years at Wycombe Abbey Changzhou. She has fallen in love with China and is very happy that she now has the opportunity to live in such a beautiful city as Shenzhen and for such a prestigious school as Merchiston Shenzhen. In her spare time Vanessa likes to draw, take photos and visit art galleries.
