Head Boy & Head Girl
The Head Boy and Head Girl are considered to be role models and must act accordingly. They are chosen from students who exemplify good behaviour and grades. It is one of the highest honours the school can give to any student.
The role of Head Boy and Head Girl includes jobs such as running and organising the Student Councils. They participate in talking to the whole school about various issues, giving speeches at award ceremonies and other events in the school throughout the year.

Why do you think you would fit in the role?
Gabriel
“I think I am quite competent in coordinating an activity. I have good social skills and communication skills. I used to study in a British boarding school for four years. I feel like that experience has prepared me with those qualities needed for being a Head Boy”

What does your role involve?
Yuri
“Representing the MIS student body at important events, speaking up for the students, and organising different events with my Prefect team. I know that there are lots of upcoming events this year, and I am excited to work with other student leaders to support the MIS community.”
Lili Mei
“My role involves setting a good example to the students, giving new ideas to the school and presenting awards at the assembly. We also serve as a bridge between the students and school leadership team.”
Gene
“My role involves working very hard, showing good examples and helping others. I am open to different advice and suggestions. Students can talk to me when they have any idea or suggestion.”
Henry
“We support Mr Andy and Ms Jo in all kinds of events in the Pringle house. We help decorating the house for the events.”
Lea
“When boarders have any problem, we will assist them. Some young boarders may miss home at night. I will console them and make them feel secure.”
Harry & Amy
“As Pringle Head Boy and Pringle Head Girl, we have different duties. We would like all boarders to feel secure and cared for. We help our Houseparents, and make sure that everything is organised. For example, we will deliver snacks from the Dining Hall to the house and return the phones back when we finish calling our parents. During the pandemic, we also help the teachers do the temperature checks in the evening.”
What changes do you wish to bring about to the school?
Gabriel
“I hope to make some changes. I hope I can get the students’ voice out. I would like to organise regular meetings this year and go over all the suggestions and comments from the students. Before the meeting, I will send out questionnaires and collect the suggestions first.”

“I always try my hardest and like helping others when they are in need.”

“I want to promote a more inclusive and supportive community so that every student feels comfortable in this environment. I also want to promote effective communication among different year groups,so more students would be willing to share their opinions with me.”

“Actually, we have some good ideas about CCA choices this year. I would like to collect the ideas and pass them on to the school.”

“We would like to help our boarders and especially young boarders to learn to behave in a responsible way. We would like to promote disciplined behaviour of the boarders.”

“I would like to build up the Pringle Library and get more students using it. I love reading and we all love reading.”

“I would like to organise more activities in Pringle. Activities like board games can help develop friendship among us.”
What are your plans and ambitions for the future?
Yuri
“I am currently studying Economics, Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I plan to study either Biochemistry or Economics in college, which I am still deciding. No matter what major I choose, I am aiming for the top universities and will do my best to achieve my goals.”

“I would like to be either an Actress or a News Reporter.”
Gabriel
“Right now, I am studying Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths. I plan to study an Engineering related course in university. Imperial College, University of Bristol, University of Warick and University of Oxford are all the universities I am aiming for in the future.”
What advice would you give to younger students?
Gabriel
“Enjoy what you have right now. Enjoy yourself. Embrace yourself and embrace the future.”
Yuri
“Keep working hard for your goals, do not be afraid to leave your comfort zones because that is how people make progress. "

你想要为学校带来什么样的改变呢?

“我想要为学校做一些改变。我希望可以为学生发声。今年,我想要安排一系列的会议。我会和学生一起讨论一些建议和评价。在展开会议之前,我会先给学生派发问卷以便我收集数据。”

“现在我在学校里学习物理、化学、数学以及进阶数学。我打算在大学学习和工程学有关的专业。帝国理工、布里斯托大学、华威大学以及牛津大学都是我向往的学府。”
