Ruth is a dedicated and passionate primary school teacher from Scotland. She holds a BSc First Class Honours degree in Psychology and began her teaching journey in Hangzhou, China, where she worked as an English teacher. Her passion for education led her to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) through the University of Canterbury in New Zealand.

Ruth believes that placing the child at the centre of all learning is key to ensuring every child thrives. She champions a holistic approach to education, nurturing not just academic success but also the social, emotional, and personal growth of each learner.

As a lifelong learner, Ruth is committed to staying up to date with innovative teaching practices and continually seeks to refine and enhance her approach in the classroom.

Outside of school, Ruth enjoys travelling and exploring new cultures with her husband and young daughter. She is an avid reader and has a deep love for music and the theatre.
