Mwaba holds a BA in Media and Cultural Studies with Drama, and a PGCE in Primary Education from Kingston University. She also holds a CELTA and the NPQLT from UCL, specialising in literacy, phonics, and language acquisition. Currently she is pursuing a Master’s in Education and Leadership.

Mwaba began her teaching career in London and has since worked internationally, including in Abu Dhabi, South Korea, and China. She has served as a Lower School Coordinator and Lead Teacher for Talk for Writing and Phonics, coaching colleagues in delivering high-quality and consistent literacy lessons.

Mwaba thrives on creating a sense of wonder and excitement in her lessons, inspiring curiosity and confidence in all her students. Passionate about fostering a lifelong love of learning, she believes in nurturing creativity, communication, and independence in every child. She is often described as a “mother hen” in her work environments, as she values understanding the people around her and accepting them as individuals.
