Matilda is a dedicated Mathematics teacher with a passion for helping students develop confidence, resilience, and a genuine interest in the subject. She believes mathematics should be engaging, accessible, and connected to real-world applications, and works to create a supportive and challenging classroom environment where all learners can thrive.
Raised in London before moving to Manchester, Matilda completed her education at St Peter’s RC High School and Xaverian Sixth Form College. She went on to study Economics and Finance at Liverpool John Moores University, developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills that underpin her teaching.
Matilda has been teaching since 2016 and gained her teaching qualification in 2019. She holds a Secondary Mathematics PGCE with QTS from Manchester Metropolitan University. She has experience teaching across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A-Level Mathematics, with a focus on developing deep conceptual understanding alongside exam success. She is particularly committed to adapting her teaching to meet diverse learning needs and to stretch and challenge all students.
Having taught in international settings, Matilda values cultural diversity and enjoys working with students from a wide range of backgrounds. She is committed to ongoing professional development and continually seeks innovative ways to enhance student learning.
Outside the classroom, Matilda enjoys travelling, exploring new cities, and experiencing different cultures, which she often draws upon to enrich her teaching.
