Yolanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Teaching Biology from New York University, where she earned New York State teaching certifications in both middle and high school. During her studies, she completed internships at two public schools in New York City, designing interactive, real-world-connected classroom activities that integrated technology to motivate learners. She also redesigned inclusive curricula for bilingual students, adapting materials to diverse linguistic needs. Driven by a passion for cross-cultural education, Yolanda is now pursuing a Master of Science Education at The University of Hong Kong to deepen her expertise in global pedagogical approaches.

She believes cultivating inclusive, student-centered classrooms through differentiated instruction is essential for meaningful student comprehension. By weaving cross-disciplinary literacy and ecological awareness into science teaching, she emphasizes 21st-century skills like critical thinking, innovation, collaboration, and reflection. Yolanda is committed to bridging academic knowledge with real-world applications, empowering students to solve practical problems.
