Originally from Liverpool, Anna is an experienced History teacher with a strong academic background in History, Archaeology, and Politics. She completed a First-Class degree in History and Archaeology at Newcastle University, where she also undertook a funded research scholarship on the Antebellum period in the United States. During her studies she gained practical field experience through archaeological excavations at an 18th-century industrial furnace site and a prehistoric settlement. Anna later completed a research-focused master’s degree in politics before training through Roehampton University for her teaching degree.

Most recently, she served as a Lead History Teacher at a high-achieving secondary school in London, recently rated Outstanding in every area by Ofsted and consistently placed within the top quarter of schools nationally for academic performance. Anna has taught across Key Stages 3 to 5, specialising in curriculum design, written modelling, and disciplinary historical thinking. As Lead History Teacher, she has overseen curriculum development, assessment strategy, and the introduction of new qualifications, including A-Level Government and Politics. Her teaching is characterised by clarity, structured progression, and a commitment to helping students develop confident, analytical written work.

Beyond her professional work, Anna enjoys yoga, reading, and a range of creative interests. She is an enthusiastic visitor of archives, museums, and historical sites, and she values opportunities to explore different cultures through travel. Her years of volunteering at Jesmond Library reflect her commitment to community engagement and widening access to learning.
