Fred is delighted to take on the role of Deputy Head of Academics in the Senior School at MIS. A long-serving Head of Department, he brings a proven record of leading teams to achieve outstanding outcomes in IGCSE, A Level, and AP examinations. His strong grasp of international curricula underpins his commitment to ensuring consistent, high-quality teaching and learning across the school.

Fred previously served as Head of Arts at Charterhouse College Shenzhen and has held teaching and leadership roles at The British School of Guangzhou, BASIS International School Shenzhen, and Saltus Grammar School in Bermuda. He holds a music performance degree from the Royal Academy of Music in London, where he was awarded both an entrance scholarship and an honorary prize upon graduation. He also holds an Australian teaching license and a UK National Qualification for Middle Leadership, and he has completed certifications in the Cambridge curriculum, EAL teaching, and Advanced Placement. Most recently, he completed postgraduate studies in education with a focus on supporting diverse learning communities.
