圆融教育启程 曼校学子探寻中国文化之旅

In order to broaden students' horizons and enhance their practical skills, MIS has been actively connecting with high-quality external resources to enrich students' lives. Recently, 11 MIS students from Year 4 to Year 6 embarked on an enlightening Chinese cultural journey. This trip was not only an exploration of history and art but also a profound experience for their minds and spirits.

The flag-raising ceremony is a solemn form of expressing respect and love for the country. At 8:00 AM, over 5,000 people gathered on the playground of the Longhua District Foreign Language School Education Group campus. The ceremony, rich in form and meaning, served as a heartfelt tribute to the motherland and a demonstration of understanding Chinese culture. Through observation, participation, and experience, MIS students gained a deeper understanding of Chinese national spirit and values, enhancing their sense of cultural identity.

During the “Belt and Road” Model United Nations Conference, MIS students, alongside peers from Longhua District Foreign Language School Education Group and Bocan Foreign Language School, focused on global issues. They simulated international cooperation between China, the United States, and India in addressing climate change, offering youthful solutions and wisdom for global governance.

Chinese characters are a crucial carrier of Chinese culture. In the Chinese character culture class, students listened to stories from calligraphers and immersed themselves in the strokes of Chinese characters. They learned about the development history of Chinese characters, the cultural stories behind them, and the values and thinking patterns of Chinese people, experiencing the essence and charm of Chinese culture.

MIS students also visited the Redwood Furniture Museum in Guanlan, participating in a mobile political science class. Starting from “observation” and experiencing through “doing,” they appreciated and understood the culture, history, and craftsmanship of traditional Chinese wooden furniture. Through activities such as listening to explanations and hands-on making of wooden stools, they marveled at the ingenious mortise and tenon craftsmanship and the extraordinary wisdom of ancient Chinese artisans.

为了提升孩子们的眼界格局和综合实践能力,曼校一直努力链接校外优质资源,点亮孩子生命底色。

近日,来自四年级到六年级的11名曼校学子进行一场中国文化之旅。这不仅是一场探寻历史与艺术的旅程,更是一次心灵与智慧的洗礼。

升旗仪式是表达对国家尊重和热爱的庄重形式。早晨8:00,5000多人齐聚在龙华区外国学校教育集团校园的操场上,通过形式多元、立意深远、意蕴悠扬的升旗仪式向祖国告白,同时展示了对中国文化的理解。通过观察、参与和体验,曼校学子更深入地了解中国民族精神和价值观念,从而增强对中国文化的认同感。

在“一带一路”模拟联合国大会中,曼校学子与来自龙华区外国语学校教育集团和博观外国语学校的学子,共同聚焦世界格局,模拟中国、美国和印度三个代表国之间应对气候变化的国际合作,为全球治理提出少年方案、贡献少年智慧。

汉字是中华文化的重要载体。在汉字文化课上,孩子们通过聆听书法家的故事以及徜徉在汉字的一笔一画中,了解了汉字的发展历史、汉字背后的文化故事以及中国人的价值观和思维方式,感受中华文化的精髓和魅力。

曼彻斯通城堡学校的学生们走进位于观澜的红木家具博物馆,参加行走的思政课活动。从“观”出发,在“做”中体验,通过欣赏感受、聆听讲解、动手制作木凳等环节,了解了中国传统木艺家具的文化、历史和制作工艺,体会到了中国传统榫卯工艺的神奇和古代匠人的非凡智慧。
