Chinese New Year is almost here! 

牛年春节就要来了！

MIS is one big family and this year we launched a new MIS Chinese New Year gift box  to share our blessings with our community. 

今年，曼校大家庭推出了新年礼盒，把祝福分享给曼校社区成员。

With guidance from our Director of Visual Arts Ms McLaughlin  and Visual Arts Teacher Yawen, our students painted some beautiful scenic prints which are displayed in the calendar. A unique MIS Masterpiece! 

在视觉艺术总监McLaughlin和艺术老师郑雅文的指导下，学生们在2020年绘制了许多精美的画作。曼校台历收录了其中的一部分，独一无二的台历就此诞生了。

Chinese New Year is not complete without traditional "Hong Bao". 2021 is the Year of the Ox and with the help of the Chinese department we organised a "design your own red envelope competition". Well done to all the students that entered, however we had to select one and a huge "happy 牛 year" to Elsa in Year 3! Other entries will be sold by Outreach (our school charity).

没有红包的春节是不完整的。中文组老师们举办了“曼校专属红包设计大赛”。所有同学乐享其中，最终，曼校礼盒选用了来自三年级Elsa的作品《happy 牛 year》，其余获奖作品将由Outreach（曼校慈善组织）进行义卖。

Again these were designed by our talented students and staff.   The Winners were Natalia in Year 10 for her Fu design and Ms Faye, our Head of Humanities, for using her amazing calligraphy skills to paint our door greetings.

同样的，福字和春联也是由曼校同学和教师设计。十年级Natalia写了福字，人文学科组负责人Faye则为礼盒手写了春联。

Well we are Scottish at heart and our roots come all the way from Edinburgh, so we had to add a little home flavour to our gift box. Delicously baked and boxed by our Chef Marco, the traditional Scottish Shortbread should be enjoyed with a cup of hot tea (with milk in it of course) .

由于曼校植根于苏格兰，我们有很多文化传统与爱丁堡一脉相承，所以，我们在礼盒中添加了一份“家乡特产”——苏格兰黄油酥饼。饼干由曼校大厨Marco精心烘焙，在享用时记得配上一杯热茶（最好加入牛奶）。
