At the beginning of the year 2024, an extraordinary Sustainable Fashion Show was held in MIS Teachers cat-walk the runway as models, wearing the clothes designed and tailored-made by Year 11 students.

On February 4th, in recognition of the former head of MIS Ms. Marion's contributions to promoting international educational exchanges, the Shenzhen Foreign Affairs Office awarded her the honorary title of "Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassador".

March

Good news came again that we received the university admissions results of our 2024 graduates. Each student received an average of 5 offers, including 14 from G5 universities in the UK, 9 from the top 5 universities in Hong Kong, and 1 from Tsinghua University, 1 from Fudan University... The overall admission results are delightful outcomes which exceeded our expectations.

April

On April 8th, the Board of Directors, Academic Advisory Committee, and Strategic Development Committee of Lighthouse International Education Group were officially established. In the future, Lighthouse Group will leverage its core advantages of collaborating with Hong Kong and Macao’s educational resources, being supported by the local government, and link and integrate resources from Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and even globally, continuously empowering student to grow, teacher to improve, and school to develop.

May

On May 14th, Lighthouse International Education Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Oxford Tutorial System Education Center. This marks the introduction of Oxford's nearly millennium-old tutorial system to China by Lighthouse Education, empowering children who are receiving international education in the Greater Bay Area.

Meanwhile, Kaman, a Year 12 student, achieved the highest mark in China for Cambridge IGCSE "Design & Technology" subject tournament of Cambridge in June 24th exams, and honored with the  Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards Winner!

June

On June 6th, the 2024 Greater Bay Area Education Integration and Innovation Development Symposium and MIS Five-year University Admission Achievement Exhibition were held at MIS Longhua campus.

Over 200 leaders, guests, experts, and scholars from the education industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area were invited to the exhibition. They exchanged and shared ideas focusing on the theme of the event "Fusion and Innovation: Education Shaping the Future".

On June 17th, MIS Shenzhen held its 2024 graduation ceremony. This year's graduates shone brightly in their university admission results, not only continuing the glory of previous years but also surpassing them. The 28 graduates received over 100 admission letters from the top 100 universities in the world.

July

On July 14th, an Oxford Academic Camp with both depth and breadth officially kicked off. This tour planted a seed of a dream in the students' hearts for pursuing further studies at world-class institutions like Oxford University in the future.

August

A Level and IGCSE exam results were gradually announced in August, and students from MIS Shenzhen achieved excellent results in both exams! Among them, 29% of A Level exam takers received A* grades.

43% of IGCSE exam takers achieved outstanding A* grades.

September

On September 20th, MIS Shenzhen welcomed Ms. Deidre Fischer and Mr. Iain MacFarlane, evaluation officers from the Council of International Schools (CIS), for an inspection visit. This visit marked a solid step forward for MIS  on the path to obtaining official CIS certification.

October

On October 18th, MIS Shenzhen celebrated its seventh anniversary. 

On the day of the celebration, We received the first admission offer from a prestigious university in the world for the 2025 admission season. As of now MIS Shenzhen has received 5 interview invitations from Oxford and Cambridge University.

November

On November 13th, students from Year 6 and 7 participated in the World Scholars Cup Finals held at Yale University and achieved two gold and nine silver medals.

On November 19th, the Interdisciplinary Inquiry Hiking officially kicked off.

During this journey of exploration and discovery, students embarked on a unique interdisciplinary learning.

December

On December 21st, students jointly trained by MIS Shenzhen and G-Planet Golf Academy demonstrated their exceptional skills at the the 2024 China Golf Regional Championship - Greater Bay Area Cup, sweeping multiple top awards. They showcased a perfect combination of teamwork and individual power.
