在深圳曼彻斯通城堡学校九周年校庆即将到来之际，10月19日，北京王府学校行政副校长王晟滔一行专程到访，为曼校送上九周年祝贺，并实地考察“王府曼彻斯通国际考试中心”的筹建情况。

此次到访既是对曼校九周年的祝贺，也围绕国际考试中心筹建与AI赋能国际教育展开交流，为双方进一步深化合作提供了新的思路。

交流期间，深圳曼校执行校长Ben向来访团队介绍了曼校近两百年的办学历史，以及深圳曼校扎根大湾区以来的发展历程、学校架构与教学体系。

传承英式教育传统，深圳曼校始终坚持“学术卓越、最具温暖”的办学理念，升学成果屡创佳绩，不仅斩获大湾区英式国际学校首封牛剑录取Offer，并在2026汇丰丨福布斯中国国际化学校榜单中斩获亮眼名次，充分彰显其在大湾区国际教育赛道的硬核办学实力。

面对人工智能带来的教育变革，深圳曼校将目光投向AI未来教育，在深圳改革开放的前沿阵地——前海，筹建深圳曼校AI未来学院，致力于打造中国首家AI赋能国际教育实践校，探索人工智能与国际教育深度融合的新路径。

深圳曼校希望在传承英式教育理念的基础上，将AI融入课程设计、教学实践与学生培养，让技术创新真正服务于教育质量与学生成长，在教育传承与科技创新之间探索新的结合点。

从近两百年的英式教育传统，到前海AI未来学院的筹建，深圳曼校正积极探索教育传承与科技创新的融合路径，开启国际教育面向未来的全新篇章。

作为此次到访的重要议题，深圳曼校IT总监杨秋实向来访团队介绍了“王府曼彻斯通国际考试中心”的筹建进展及相关准备工作。

来访团队实地查看了考场硬件设施、消防安全配置及考试防作弊系统，并围绕场地条件、考务管理与考试规范等要求进行交流，梳理后续需完善的事项，为考试中心下一阶段筹建工作明确了方向。

考察结束后，双方在学校校史馆举行了座谈，就考试中心筹建中的具体要求、调整事项及后续工作安排进行了深入沟通。深圳曼校将结合此次交流反馈，持续完善相关准备工作，稳步推进考试中心建设。

国际考试中心的筹建，是双方深化合作的具体实践。通过交流经验、整合资源，双方期待进一步拓展国际考试服务的合作空间，为学生及更广泛的国际教育群体提供更多支持。

此次北京王府学校一行到访，既是为深圳曼校九周年送上诚挚祝贺，也是双方围绕国际教育发展与创新实践的一次深入交流。

在国际考试中心筹建方面，双方进一步梳理了建设要求与后续工作方向；在深圳曼校AI未来学院的筹建与发展方面，双方也进行了交流探讨。

Nine Years of Growth, Building a Strong Foundation; Rooted in the Greater Bay Area, Shaping the Future.

As Merchiston International School (MIS) approaches its ninth anniversary, a delegation led by Wang Shengtao, Vice Principal for Administration at Beijing Royal School, visited MIS on 19 October to extend its congratulations and review preparations for the “Wangfu–Merchiston International Examination Centre”. 

The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss the development of the examination centre and the potential of AI-enabled international education, opening up new avenues for cooperation.

During the visit, Ben, Executive Principal of MIS, introduced the nearly 200-year history of Merchiston Castle School, along with MIS’s development in the Greater Bay Area, its school structure and its educational approach.

Drawing on the British educational tradition, MIS is committed to “academic excellence and warmth”. The school has continued to achieve strong university admissions results, including what it describes as the first Oxbridge offer received by a British-style international school in the Greater Bay Area. MIS also achieved notable results in the 2026 HSBC | Forbes China International Schools Selection, reflecting its strengths in academic development and university guidance.

These achievements reflect the sustained practice of the school’s educational philosophy and provide a foundation for continued exploration and innovation. For MIS, academic excellence is not only a measure of past progress, but also a starting point for broadening the horizons of education.

In response to the changes AI is bringing to education, MIS is looking ahead to the future of learning. It is preparing to establish the MIS AI Future Academy in Qianhai, a key frontier of Shenzhen’s reform and opening-up, with the ambition of creating China’s first AI-enabled international education practice school and exploring new ways to integrate AI with international education.

Building on its British educational philosophy, MIS aims to integrate AI into curriculum design, teaching practice and student development, ensuring that technological innovation supports educational quality and student growth. In doing so, the school seeks to bring educational heritage and technological innovation together.

From a long-standing British educational tradition to the planned AI Future Academy in Qianhai, MIS is actively exploring how educational heritage can work hand in hand with technological innovation—and how international education can evolve to meet the future.

As a key topic of the visit, Yang Qiushi, IT Director at MIS, briefed the delegation on preparations for the “Wangfu–Merchiston International Examination Centre”.

The delegation inspected examination-room facilities, fire-safety provisions and anti-cheating systems. Discussions covered site requirements, examination administration and relevant standards, helping identify areas for further improvement and clarify the next steps in the centre’s preparation.

Following the inspection, both parties held a meeting in the school history museum to discuss specific requirements, adjustments and next steps. MIS will continue refining its preparations in light of the feedback and move the project forward in a steady manner.

The planned examination centre represents a concrete step in strengthening cooperation between the two schools. Through the exchange of experience and resources, both parties hope to broaden access to international examination services and provide further support to students and the wider international education community.

The visit was both a gesture of congratulations on MIS’s ninth anniversary and an opportunity for meaningful exchange on international education and innovation.

Alongside discussions on the examination centre, the two parties exchanged views on the development of the MIS AI Future Academy. Beijing Royal School’s experience and perspective in international education offered fresh ideas for the Academy’s development and opened up further possibilities for future collaboration in educational innovation and student development.

Nine years of growth have laid a strong foundation for MIS—and a starting point for what comes next. Rooted in the Greater Bay Area and looking to the future, MIS will continue to strengthen school partnerships and explore innovative approaches to AI-enabled international education.
