昨日下午，曼校又举行了一场激动人心的体育盛事。U19（19岁以下）男子B 队在曼校主场与万科梅沙书院（VMA）进行了一场扣人心弦的篮球比赛。虽然训练时间有限，但是B 队迅速凝聚成一个团队，在压力下也表现出色，展现出良好的比赛态度和体育精神。

当 U19 男子 B 队在主场比赛时，曼校A 队和女子 U19 篮球队启程出发，准备与强劲的梅沙书院队（VMA）展开一场重要的篮球联赛。当巴士从曼校出发时，两支球队都充满了信心，士气高涨。

刚开场，男生们就开启了一场竞争激烈的快节奏比赛。我校男生们采取了侵略性防守策略，精妙的传球和一击即中的三分球让男生们早早取得领先。显然，梅沙书院队紧张了起来。上半场结束时，虽然梅沙书院队恢复了一些镇定并且拉平了比分，但我校的势头仍然强劲。

下半场，梅沙书院队上场反扑，抢占先机。与梅沙书院队相比，曼校学子准备时间虽短，但从这场比赛上可以看见他们坚韧不拔的曼校精神，男孩们始终信念坚定，严守纪律，在比赛第四节缩小了分差，两队比分咬得很紧。

接下来，U19 女生队上场。对于其中一些女生来说，这是她们第一次代表曼校参加国际学校体育联盟（ISL）比赛。在此，我要表扬她们勇敢地迎接挑战，并为 U14 女子 ISL 队树立了榜样。

一开始女生们沉着冷静、合作默契，在比赛中首先得分，她们在整个第一节都保持领先。出色的防守和抢攻的打法，让梅沙书院队的进攻被屡屡击退，但对手们发起了无情的猛攻，开始投篮进球。

在整场比赛中，面对年龄较长且经验丰富的对手，我校女生们表现出了坚韧不拔的毅力和决心。她们从未让拉大的分差减弱她们的热情和努力，也没有垂头丧气。这一点在团队堆叠战术中体现得淋漓尽致，姑娘们高喊着“LIONS”，每次看到她们的笑容都让人心里暖暖的，这种团队友情弥足珍贵。

Yesterday afternoonwas yet another thrilling event of sport for MIS. The Under 19 boys B team played at home against VMA in a truly inspirational basketball match. With limited training time together the B team quickly geld together as a team working well under pressure presenting themselves with great attitude and sportsmanship.

While the U19 Boy's B Team were at home, the A Team and the girls U19 basketball Team hit the road for an important league fixture against the formidable VMA. Spirits were high as both Teams were oozing with confidence as the bus departed from MIS.

The boys played first in a competitive and fast-paced match. Some early aggressive defensive work, pinpoint passing and accuracy from the three-point arc saw the boys take an early lead. Clearly, VMA were rattled. At the end of the half spirits remained high, although VMA had regained some composure and evened the scores.

In the second half, VMA came out fighting and stole the lead. Although the preparation time of the students of the MIS is short, their perseverance and tenacious MIS spirit can be seen from this game. the boys remained determined and disciplined throughout and were able to reduce the gap in the 4th quarter, to stay in touch.

Next up, the U19 Girls hit the court. For a number of these girls, it was the first time for them to represent MIS in an ISL competition. I would like to commend their bravery for stepping up to the challenge and being role models for the U14 Girl's ISL Team.

Early composure and good teamwork saw the girls score first, a lead they held for the entire first quarter. Excellent defensive work and aggressive play meant that VMA's attacks were repeatedly rejected and repelled, but, their onslaught was relentless and inevitably shots started to go in.

For the entire game, the girls showed pure determination and resilience against a component who was older and more experienced. They never once let the increasing difference in the score dampen their efforts, nor did they drop their heads. This was evident during the team stack, where the girls roared loudly and proudly "LIONS", it was a heartwarming moment to see their smiles every time; the camaraderie was palatable.

If you see the following students today, please congratulate their efforts on the basketball court and their positive behaviour, they were true ambassadors for MIS.
