Merchiston Castle School (MCS), founded in 1833, is one of Scotland’s leading independent boarding schools for boys. It consistently ranks first in Scotland for A-Level results, with 93% of pupils progressing to their first‑choice university and an Oxbridge acceptance rate of approximately 10%, earning it the reputation of an “Oxbridge feeder school”.

Shenzhen Merchiston International School (MIS), as its first overseas campus, opened in Longhua in 2018.
