Like all schools in Shenzhen, MIS started their online learning from home this week.
MIS ensured that our students, teachers and parents were supported during this challenging yet positive learning journey!
It was heartening to see our students engage so positively this week, producing some excellent work. During the past week, our leadership and teaching team continued to work on new strategies to strengthen engagement between the school and families to support our students' learning.
At the beginning of the week, all MIS teachers conducted their lessons from the classroom which provided the staff with maximum resources and materials.
Our Admin Team fully support the online classes.
Students follow their regular timetable and are guided by teachers to ensure they are well adjusted, engaged, take regular breaks and are hydrated.
Our Head of Juniors, Ms Neil and our Head of Pastoral Care & Safeguarding, Mr Rudd, provided “top tips” for the students.
Parents often enjoy getting involved in their child’s online learning and MIS really appreciate the continued support from our parents. We are delighted to hear positive feedback from our parents.
“Hats off to the teachers. I’ve been listening in and have been impressed. Well organised. Kids engaged and no dramas at home.”
Dad of Amelia Year 5, Harry Year 6 and Oliver Year8
“Each teacher conscientiously teaches their subject in every lesson online, which is no different from classes at the campus. The teachers insisted on going into the campus to conduct their online courses even when the students were offsite. This kind of serious spirit has really touched our family.”
Mum of Rich Year 9
“The content and teaching style of all the subjects are excellent. Of course PE and Arts are a little different due to limited available interaction, but this is what we must face during these times.”
