Our youngest learners are not permitted to join in online learning, but that doesn't stop learning. Well done to some of our Early Years students who actively self-study every day.

The Juniors teachers and TAs are impressed with our student's Ay Ready and Ay Safe learning since we have transitioned to online learning. The children are following their usual school timetable which ensures that they are still having a broad and balanced education from home. They are engaged and completing their work to a high standard. We are very proud of them and keep up the great effort!

Year 6 Students were encouraged to present on "Fungus" from their IPC Topic.

MIS Year 10 IGCSE Photography, the images have been made in Photoshop from the student's photographs.

Mr Copley had a great lesson today in Maths using breakout rooms, he coupled a group of Nrich tasks with the breakout rooms function on Teams to do an online carousel lesson which worked really well! The groups of students were excellent at working together and taking leads, One group used the interactive whiteboard function too to collaborate on an answer.

Our Seniors Stars of the Week were recognised for their great effort, the quality of work submitted and their positivity in online classes.

MIS University Guidance

曼校升学指导系列课

Our onsite University Guidance Team have been working closely with our current Year 12 students.

The University Guidance Team also started Information Sessions with the current Year 10 and Year 11 students this month. On Wednesday MIS invited representatives from the University of Warwick to talk to the student online during their well-being lessons.

It is important for the university guidance to being early in order to ensure our students aim high and are Ready Ay Ready!

Deputy Head of Seniors, Mr Adam Harbinson met with all Year 11 students and their parents to discuss the next step in their learning journey.  As the student move into Year 12  (KS5) for their final few years at school, this transition is one of the most important.    Mr Harbison discussed the A-level options that are available to the students and content of each course.

KS5 Students at MIS are supported and guided by a large network of staff as they make this important move into their final years of school. Our support network include; onsite University Counseling Team and University Guidance from the UK, Head of Seniors (Academic), Head of Seniors (Pastoral Care), Head of Key Stage 5 (Years 12 & 13), Forum Tutors, Boarding Staff and our Counselors who help with well-being.

Dream University destinations are planned well in advance with a clear path on how students can achieve their goals.

小学线上学习

关键第一阶段

学前班的小同学们虽然不能上网课，但他们依旧没有放弃在日常生活中学习，保持学习的动力和热情。

比方说，他们在针对同一个主题“假如我是宇航员”展开了兴趣探索。

一些关键第一阶段学段（学前班到三年级）的同学们的自学任务。

关键第二阶段

当我们开展线上教学后，小学生们很快调整好学习状态，老师和助教们对此倍感欣慰。同学们严格按照在校课表安排全天的学习任务，以便掌握规律作息，平衡学习和休息。令人骄傲的是，他们年纪虽小，但都高标准地按照老师的要求完成了每天的学习任务。

本周的六年级的IPC课程主题是“菌类”，老师要求学生们以自己的理解方式去展示认识的“菌类”生物。

中学线上学习

十年级的摄影课则是学习用Photoshop编辑他们的摄影作品。

数学老师Copley则在网上开展了一堂别开生面的讨论课，他用teams的“分组讨论室”的功能，根据班级学生的特点，给他们分组分配了不同的任务。学生们获得了和线下分层教学一样的体验，教学效果显而易见。另外一个学习小组则使用了“交互式白板”的功能，同学们可以很好地适应线上协同学习。

中学部的“本周之星”也已经评选出来，他们均在本周的线上学习中付出了巨大的努力，并提交了高质量的作业作品。

MIS University Guidance

曼校升学指导系列课

曼校升学指导团队在线上教学期间也一直与各升学年级保持着密切的互动。十二年级的同学们在本周接受了大学升学咨询课程。

大学升学指导团队也开始为十年级、十一年级的同学们安排大学信息分享会。本周三，曼校邀请了华威大学在线与学生交流。

志存高远、早早规划、大学指导在追求梦校的过程中至关重要。为未来而来，曼校为学子们做好了充分的准备和详尽的安排。

关于12年级选课的线上论坛

中学部副校长Adam Harbinson在本周召开了十一年级线上家长会，和各个家庭线上讨论学生们接下来的选课及升学路径。十一年级学生即将步入A-level学段，开始在曼校最后两年的学习时光。从IGCSE到A-level，过渡期尤为重要。Harbison详细地和家长们解释了A-level学段的学科选课事宜，和各个科目的基本情况。

在同学们在即将迈入最后两年关键学习阶段之际，学校为他们提供了各部门相互协同的师资团队及各类学习资源的支持。我们的支持包含了大学升学指导、英国高校在线宣讲会、中学学术校长、中学德育校长、关键第五阶段学段长、班主任、寄宿团队、校心理咨询室等等。

梦校规划早在IGCSE阶段开始，同学们遵循清晰的成长路径，勇攀人生目标。
