Dear Family Members,

With the school bells ringing, the children and teachers returned happily to the beautiful campus where we learn and live together after a short 2-week break. Laughter and joy once again filled the campus, and after the intense upgrade of the school kitchen, the aroma of "home" once again wafted through MIS.

At this moment, with immense excitement and gratitude, I would like to share several important "family" matters with you all:

1. MIS, Shenzhen and Xingzhi, Dongguan of Lighthouse International Education Group have achieved the best university admission success in history this year. As of today, 30 graduates of this academic year have received nearly 150 offers from world-class universities, including 3 from Imperial CollegeLondon, 15 from University College London, 1 from Tsinghua University, 1 from the University of St. Andrews, 8 from the University of Manchester, 1 from the University of Edinburgh, 2 from King's College London, 1 from the University of Waterloo, 2 from the University of Toronto, 3 from the University of Hong Kong, 3 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1 from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, 3 from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, 1 from the University of Melbourne, 1 from the Pennsylvania State University, 1 from the Ohio State University... and more offers from prestigious universities are still being received. Behind these outstanding achievements is the hard work of our students, the trust and support of parents, and the dedicated efforts of teachers. It is the result of the collective growth and nurturing of students, parents, and the school. Let us offer heartfelt congratulations and blessings together!

2. The first five years were a critical stage for the new journey of MIS Shenzhen. Lighthouse International Education Group has invested significant efforts and funds in the construction and development of MIS Shenzhen, achieving remarkable success. With the completion of Dongguan Xingzhi and MIS Shekou campus, a new pattern of one school and four campuses with high-quality development has been formed together with its mother school, MCS. As we enter the second five years, Lighthouse International Education Group will leverage its core advantages of being backed by the motherland and facing the world, fully empowering the high-quality and healthy development of the school with group strategic leadership. Organizational development and talent development will be the main focus, optimizing internal resource allocation, and integrating global resources to continuously empower student growth, teacher development, and school development.

On the 8th of this month, the Board of Lighthouse International Education Group was officially established.

Director & Group Director of Organization and Talent Development: Dr. Christine Lai, the former Asia Human Resources Director of Investment Banks and Education Group.

3. In the second five years, we will continue to consolidate and enhance the core competitiveness of MIS as the first British boarding international school in Shenzhen, inheriting the excellent genes of the mother school, adhering to the concept of holistic education, promoting sportsmanship, attaching importance to student moral care and British-style boarding "home culture" cultivation, nurturing students' aesthetic qualities and social citizenship awareness. In addition, we will cultivate students' life and survival skills in campus life, family life, and social life, providing excellent international education services for families who identify with MIS educational philosophy, talents who make special contributions to the country's development, and patriots. At MIS, English is a first language, Chinese is a compulsory subject, and solid measures and effects have been taken in bilingual education with a solid foundation in both English and Chinese for Juniors school students. We emphasize deepening and strengthening the English and Chinese learning foundation for elementary school students. We will consolidate the subject foundation for secondary school students and implement a strong basic plan from EYFS to Cambridge International Curriculum, IGCSE, and AL. We will ensure that MIS British-style boarding international school's English curriculum advantages are evident, and IG and AL international exams achieve repeated excellent results. The British curriculum system of British-style boarding international schools is growing robustly as the backbone, and MIS students are firmly committed to the goal of reaching G5 universities.

4. After two years of development and practice, the "Royal Mile" programme, which focuses on the G5 universities in the UK, has achieved phased results. In the second five years, based on maintaining IG/AL as the core competitiveness of British schools, all students applying to British universities will join the "Royal Mile" team in upper secondary of school to ensure that students can complete the IG/AL programme with high quality and participate in various international competitions and EPQ activities.

At the same time, fully leveraging the resources advantages of Lighthouse Group, innovating layouts, and boldly planning, based on the development concept of "one main branch spawns two new branches", from the perspective of fully meeting the needs of children and parents, two major colleges will be established in upper secondary school. The first one is " Ivy League College," which focuses on AP courses and American studies; the second one is "Bauhinia College," which focuses on Hong Kong DSE courses and Hong Kong studies. Enriching MIS educational product line in the SIX FORM stage will enhance MIS competitiveness in admission to world-renowned universities.

The second five years will surely be a fruitful period of flourishing for MIS, full of achievements and joy. The three core curriculum systems of "IG+AL, IG+AP, IG+DSE" each have their advantages, differences, and common beauty, which will truly meet the trend and demand of students' personalized and diversified development. In the future, excellent academic achievements will be best interpreted at MIS.

5. MIS will continue to strive to create a joyful school, a school that shapes souls and characters, an academically excellent and warm school, and a British-style boarding international school that understands China, faces the world, and embraces the future. To create an academically excellent and warm international education ecosystem, Lighthouse Group has vigorously invited a group of outstanding principals to join MIS and Xingzhi School.

We are very pleased and honored to invite Dr. Benjamin Chan, the Chief Principal of Hong Kong Baptist University Affiliated School Wong Kam Fai Secondary and Primary School(HKBU), who is influential in the education sector in Hong Kong, experienced in DSE curriculum, academically outstanding, and consistently maintains the first place in Hong Kong's AL admission achievements, to serve as the Honorary Principal of MIS and Xingzhi of Lighthouse Education Group; Mr. Shi Guopeng, the former founding Principal of Beijing No. 4 High School International Campus, will serve as the National Principal of MIS, Head of Upper Secondary School and Dean of Ivy League College; Ms. Li Ningning, the former Assistant Principal of UIC, serves as the Head of Xing Zhi School; Mr. Guo Qixing, former Director of the Hong Kong Institute of Financial Management and former Director of the Shatin College of the Hong Kong Vocational Training Council, will serve as the senior consultant of Lighthouse Education.The addition of these education experts and outstanding talents will certainly give Lighthouse Education more professional development momentum.

6. To implement the high-quality development goal of internationalization and globalization of Lighthouse education, the Lighthouse International Education Overseas Competence Centre (LIEOC) officially started. The Director of the Center for Science, Art and Design of MIS in Boston, USA, is Ms.Shi Minmin, who was personally involved in the founding of the Vanke Meisha Academy of the Arts and the development of art education into a signature programme. Services for overseas study trips for Man School and Xingzhi students will be provided in the SIX FORM stage. The Shenzhen MIS School Alumni Association was officially established, and the Lighthouse Education UK Competence Center has also been officially launched, integrating resources from Oxford, Cambridge, and other G5 universities to empower Shenzhen MIS and Xingzhi students. Ms. Veinna, the senior consultant of the UK Center, has been appointed as the person in charge of college admission planning for Xingzhi School and has started work in full swing.

7. Empowering high-quality education development with science and technology, the digitization project of MIS and Xingzhi of Lighthouse International Education has been officially launched. In the future, all family members will have the opportunity to participate in the project's opinion collection and discussions, jointly promoting technological empowerment and innovative development in education.

Dear family members, because my child once studied at the mother school, MCS, my wife and I traveled far and wide to accompany him. We have experienced many challenges in language, culture, and life, and our loved ones in China have had countless worries and yearnings. It is precisely because of this dream that I am determined to bring Merchiston—the first Scottish boys' boarding school— back to China, so that children in China can receive world-class British-style boarding international education without going abroad. It is this dream, after countless efforts and the support of countless people, that has led to the existence of MIS Shenzhen today.

Some have said that I established a school just for my own child's education. In fact, in the eyes and hearts of me and the teachers, all children of MIS and Xingzhi are my children, and they are all our children. My youngest son, Luis, is a witness to the growth and development of MIS Shenzhen. In 2018, he returned from the United Nations International School in New York to MIS. As one of the founding students, he has studied and lived at MIS for 6 years. Next year, he will also enter a world- class university with his classmates. As a parent of a student, I sincerely thank these teachers from different countries and regions around the world who truly regard MIS as their home and devote their hearts and love to nurturing and educating the students!

Dear family members, from the preparation of the opening of MIS to the present day, I deeply feel the great responsibility and the arduous road ahead. But I have never forgotten my original intention, persevering and forging ahead, and now I can fulfill my promise to everyone with the achievements and excellent academic results of MIS, Xingzhi, and MIS SK over the past six years. Today, nearly 100 outstanding students from MIS Shenzhen and Xingzhi School have been admitted to top 50 well- known universities in the world. We truly make ordinary children extraordinary and outstanding children even more outstanding.

Dear familily members, for the better future development of MIS and Xingzhi MAS, from today onwards, I will adjust my role from the position of MIS Board Chairman to Director of the MIS Board, and at the same time, the first attendant of the Lighthouse Education Group. After in-depth communication with the board members, it was unanimously agreed that the position of MIS Board Chairman in Shenzhen would be taken up by professor Edmund Kwok,the former Dean of the Faculty of Arts of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the founding Executive Principal of Peking Normal University Baptist College Zhuhai, and a renowned educator and historian.

Dear family members, for the better development of MIS and Xingzhi in the future, starting today, I will adjust my role. I will step down from the position of Chairman of the Board of MIS Shenzhen and become a Board member of MIS, and also the first servant of Lighthouse Education Group. After in- depth communication with the members of the board of governors, it was unanimously agreed that Professor Edmund Kwok, the former Dean of the Faculty of Arts of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, the founding Executive Principal of Peking Normal University Baptist College Zhuhai, and a renowned educator and historian., will serve as the Chairman of the Board of MIS. Mr Jonathan Anderson, the current Head of the mother school, will continue to serve as the Deputy Chairman of the Board. I will continue to serve as a Board member, along with Mr Andrew Hunter, the former Head of MCS, Dr Duncan Moore, Dr Christine Lai, and Dr Shao Liping, to continue to support, serve, and develop MIS in my new role.

Dear family members, education requires the accumulation of time, the irrigation of knowledge, the investment of emotions, and the "unity of teachers, students, families, and the country" with the same heart, direction, and frequency, to provide students with a healthy and upward high-quality international learning environment, teachers with a space for nurturing and teaching, and each family with a sense of trust and trust. Together, we cultivate outstanding citizens who have light in their eyes, love in their hearts, imprints under their feet, smiles on their faces, shoulders to bear responsibilities, knowledge and courtesy, and a commitment to upward and goodness. It is always the mission and responsibility of Lighthouse people to love life, serve the world.

亲爱的各位家人：

伴随着校园的清脆铃声，孩子们和老师经过2周的短暂休假后，又愉快的回到了我们共同努力学习，一起相伴生活的美丽校园。校园里又有了欢声笑语，曼校的家厨经过紧张的升级后，也再次飘出了“家”的味道。

在此刻，我怀着无比激动与感动的心情和家人们分享几件重要“家”事：

1、今年灯塔国际教育集团深圳曼校和东莞行知取得了历史上最好的升学成就。截止今天，本学年30名毕业生收到近150份世界一流大学录取通知书，包括帝国理工大学3封，伦敦大学学院15封，清华大学1封，圣安德鲁斯大学1封，曼彻斯特大学8封，爱丁堡大学1封，KCL国王学院2封，滑铁卢大学1封，多伦多大学2封，香港大学3封，香港中文大学3封，香港理工大学1封，香港科技大学3封，墨尔本大学1封，美国宾州州立大学1封，美国俄亥俄州州立大学1封……，部分国际名校还在陆续发放offer，我们期待还将会有更多的收获。这些优异成绩的背后与同学们的辛苦努力，家长们的信任支持，教师的潜心育人密不可分，是学生、家长与学校共同成长、孕育的果实，让我们一起送上由衷的祝贺与祝福！

2、第一个五年，是深圳曼校启航新征程的关键阶段。灯塔国际教育集团把主要精力和资金放在深圳曼校的建设与发展上，取得来之不易的成就。在东莞行知和曼校蛇口校区相聚落成后，已经与母校MCS形成一校四区高质量发展的新格局。进入第二个五年之际，灯塔国际教育集团将发挥背靠祖国、面向世界的核心优势，充分发挥以集团战略引领为学校高质量健康发展赋能的重要作用，将组织建设与人才发展为主要抓手，优化内部资源配置，做好全球资源整合，为学生成长、教师培养，学校发展持续赋能。

本月8日，灯塔国际教育集团董事局正式成立。

6、为落实灯塔教育国际化、全球化高质量发展目标，灯塔国际教育海外能力中心正式启动。MIS美国波士顿科学艺术与设计中心主任由曾亲自参与万科梅沙艺术学院创立并把艺术升学发展成为特色项目的石忞旻院长担任。将在SIX FORM阶段为曼校和行知学生海外研学提供服务。深圳曼校英国校友会正式成立，灯塔教育英国能力中心也已正式启动，将整合牛津、剑桥和其他G5大学资源为深圳曼校和行知学生赋能，英国中心高级顾问Veinna老师担任行知学校升学规划负责人已全面开展工作。

7、以科技赋能高质量教育发展，灯塔国际教育集团深圳曼校、行知学校数字化工程已正式启动。未来各位家人都有机会参与到项目的意见征集与座谈中，共同推进科技赋能教育创新发展工程。

各位家人，因为我的孩子曾在曼校英国母校读书，我和爱人不远万里陪读，既经历了许多语言文化与生活上的挑战，也让身在国内的亲人多了无数的担忧与思念。正是因此，我才有了这个梦想，一定要把曼校——这所苏格兰男子第一寄宿制学校带回中国，让在中国的孩子们不出国门就可以接受世界一流的英式寄宿制国际教育。正是这个梦想，经过无数次的努力，无数人的支持才有了今天的深圳曼校。

有人曾说我是为了自己的孩子上学才办了一所学校。其实，在我和老师们的眼里与心中，所有曼校和行知的孩子都是我的孩子，也都是我们的孩子。我的小儿子Luis是深圳曼校成长与发展的见证人，2018年他从纽约得联合国国际学校回到深圳曼校，作为创校生在MIS已经学习生活了6年，明年他也会和同学们一起进入世界一流大学，而我同样作为一名学生家长，要衷心感谢这些来自英国、美国及世界不同国家和地区，真正以曼校为家，将心注入、以爱育爱的最值得尊敬的老师们！

各位家人，自曼校筹备开学至今，我深感责任重大、也深知前路艰辛，但我始终不忘初心、坚持砥砺前行，得以用6年间曼校、行知、曼校蛇口的发展成果与优秀的升学成就向大家兑现了我曾许下的诺言。到今天，深圳曼校和行知学校送入世界TOP50知名学府的优秀学生已近100人，真正做到让普通的孩子不普通，优秀的孩子更优秀。

各位家人，为了深圳曼校和行知学校未来更好的发展，从今天开始我将调整自己的角色，从深圳曼校董事局主席一职调整为曼校校董会董事，同时也是灯塔教育集团第一位服务员。经过与董事会成员深入交流，一致同意，深圳曼校董事局主席一职由香港中文大学文学院前院长，北师大浸会珠海学院创办执行校长，著名教育家，历史学家郭少棠先生担任。董事局副主席继续由母校现任校长Jonathan先生担任，我将继续与母校前校长Andrew先生，母校董事局副主席Duncan先生，黎天姿博士，邵丽萍博士担任深圳曼校校董会董事，继续以新的角色支持曼校、服务曼校、发展曼校。

亲爱的各位家人，教育需要时间的积淀，需要知识的灌溉，需要情感的投入，更需要“师生家国”能够同心、同向、同频，给学生一个健康、向上的高品质国际化的学习环境，给老师一个静心育人、潜心教书的发展空间，给每个家庭一个安心、信任的托付。共同去培养眼中有光、心中有爱、足下有印，面有笑颜、肩有担当、知书达礼、向上向善，既能够在国际舞台去与世界对话，也能够守护家庭去与家人相伴，热爱生活，服务世界的优秀公民永远是灯塔人的使命与担当。
